Social/Recreational Grants

Is your family member with Down syndrome interested in joining a summer camp or attending an athletic, music, dance or art class?  The DSAHV would like to compensate him/her for the cost of the class.  It is important that we keep our children active and having fun in the community.  If you wish to inquire about more information, and are curious if the type of class you seek qualifies, please email info@dsahv.org or call us 845-226-1630.  Please provide your name, the name and age of the family member with Down Syndrome, the class you are seeking payment and/or reimbursement for and complete contact information.

All applicants must reside in the Hudson Valley, New York.  Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis and the maximum annual award is $500.00.

Parents of a student with Down syndrome

The DSAHV inclusion scholarship is designed to provide financial support to parents and to those who work within our local school systems. If you wish to learn more about inclusion and the positive benefits on the Down syndrome population we encourage you to seek workshops and conferences. The Down Syndrome Association Hudson Valley will reimburse those attending a workshop or training session, including those receiving continuing education credits, in areas pertaining to inclusion.
