Bambino Buddy Ball Division
Dear Parent/Guardian(s):
Your child is invited to participate in the All-American sport of baseball by being a part of the Bambino Buddy Ball Division of Marlboro’s Youth Baseball and Softball. The Bambino Buddy Ball division offers mentally and physically challenged boys and girls, ages 5 through 21, the opportunity to participate in an organized game of baseball. This program helps children enjoy the full benefits of participating in an athletic environment structured to their abilities.
The Bambino Buddy Ball Division allows challenged or special needs athletes to develop confidence and promote self-esteem. It allows them to be part of organized sports and assists with physical fitness as well as their social skills. This division encourages the use of "buddies." The buddies assist the players on the field but whenever possible, encourage the players to bat and make plays themselves. However, the buddy is always nearby to help when needed.
In order for a Bambino Buddy Ball Division to exist, there must be 30 or more players. It will be based out of Marlboro and it is open to the public. If you and/or your child are interested in this program, please contact me by April 9, 2008. With enough interest, I will hold an informational meeting where I will go into great detail about this wonderful program.
I am very excited and cannot wait to implement this new and exciting program. I look forward to working with you and giving your child the ability to make his/her way down the first base line. Lets Play Ball!!!
